When the days shorten and hoarfrost rims the branchtips of trees, the Ice Phoenixes of northern climes take wing and leave their nesting sites. They spiral and dance under the moon, majestic against the night sky, trailing auroras and with moonrays glinting off their icy feathers. This flight marks the advent of Winter - the time for fires to be lit in the hearth, for families to gather, and for feasting to begin. ‘Tis the season for all to make merry and share their joy in the year’s bounty, while stepping away from the hustle of the warmer months.
And above the warm glows cast by the humans’ fires, the Ice Phoenixes soar with the stars as their song lulls the land into slumber.

-Each nix shall be named for any winter celebration, or with something that means joy/merriment
